Dear Diary....

February 25, 2018

Dear Diary,

I just watched the documentary called "I'm Still Here". It is on the Holocaust and some people who survived it and some people that didn't. It went through their lives before and during the Holocaust.

While I watched the documentary, I thought about how hard surviving was back then and the panic and fear that kept the Jews from fighting back. There was a lot of tension during the Holocaust and I hope we can all learn something from the Holocaust, to avoid making the same mistakes again.

Goodnight!

The Assasin' Blade

I am currently reading The Assassin's Blade. It is has multiple stories about an assassin, Celaena, which is part of an Assassin's Guild, run by Arobynn Hamel. The book contains: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Healer, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld, and The Assassin and the Empire. When Celaena is told to go on missions, which takes her from an island to a hot desert, she begins to question her loyalty and finds that she feels more feelings for Sam than friendship. On a journey from defying Arobynn's orders and escaping him, Celaena and Sam risk their lives and all they have for freedom. It's a really fast paced and thrilling book! I would definitely recommend this!

My Life's Photographs

This book was the book that made me love reading. In elementary school, I used to hate reading and would refuse to read any books. If I was forced to read a book, I would always pick a easy to read book. But in 4th grade, my sister started reading a series called Percy Jackson and The Olympians. She convinced/forced me to try the first book and I then started reading it. It was really good, so good that I suddenly wanted to read more and I then finished the whole series. I was eager to start reading the second series, The Heroes of Olympus, and also finished that. I started to try different books and liked them, so started reading more and more. I am really happy that I read this book, which started me to read and I hope I don't stop reading books and the amazing stories in all of them!

This is my bird, "Einstein"! I remember clearly the time we went to a pet store and got her. When we went in the store and decided to get a parrot, the pet owner then reached and opened the gate of a big glass tank, but then one of the bird ran out of the glass tank and hid underneath the macaw's cage. Eventually, the owner captured him and we picked a cage for him, which the owner then put him in. Since then, Einstein has been a wonderful and very playful companion, and he has kept me happy whenever I even look at him!
